Environmental Education Week focuses on carbon footprints

Now in its fourth year, National Environmental Education Week seeks to enhance the educational impact of Earth Day (April 22) and recognize educators who are committed to implementing environmental education in their classrooms.

This year, National Environmental Education Week (EE Week) focuses on a special Carbon Footprints theme.

National EE Week is made possible by Canon and supported by the NEA. As partners in EE Week, educators have access to:

• Standards-based environmental education lessons and activities
• Monthly electronic newsletters that highlight the latest EE curricula, professional development, and funding opportunities
• Opportunities for online communication and knowledge-sharing with educators from across the country
